Every year you tell yourself “This is the year I’m going to do it, I’m going to get my fitness on track, be able to run 5KM in one go, have a 6 pack and squat/deadlift 100kg” but alas, another day passes and you think, I’ll do it tomorrow, then I’ll start next week, then you forget about it for a while and it starts all over again. Health however is more than just hitting the gym when you can. It usually starts with what you’re eating. There’s a lot of food you shouldn’t be touching if you’re trying to get healthy, if you remove these from your diet and you come and exercise with us you’ll see massive changes in your health much earlier, you’ll also notice big changes in your bother other than appearance, starting with the fact you’ll feel more alert during the day and your brain will function better as well! At EFM we pride ourselves on helping our members with their all-round health and fitness. Not just “Buffing” up the arms, legs or Abs, these will come naturally over time and with dedication however you’ll notice a huge amount of other benefits as you continue working out with us.
At EFM we do things a little differently, some gyms simply have a weight room and leave you to it, they may run group classes once or twice a week with boot camp style sessions, these can keep you fit but if you’re only attending two a week you’ll quickly find that you’ll start keeping up with classes but the cardio will often stop there. Our group Personal training sessions are run differently, Every day we have a different workout ready on the board, we run classes throughout the day and you can come at any time and join in, also during our classes instead of somebody standing on a platform out the front shouting their head off at you our PT’s will circle the class personally training you every step of the way. This also means they are always available for a chat about your diet or specific training wants/requirements. You can trust our PT’s to know what’s best for you and you’ll quickly find they’ll become a friend for life.
Besides just getting the aesthetical change we all see on the magazines, TV and at the movies there are massive health benefits for living an active lifestyle and regularly attending a gym. Did you know that daily physical activity can reduce the risk of Strokes and Heart Disease? Attending a gym several times a week can also lower your blood pressure, while increasing muscle strength can minimise and in some cases, eliminate back pain. You’ll find your day to day activities will also become easier, you’ll have more energy in your life. This will help improve your stress management and your self-esteem. There’s so much that keeping fit can do for you while you’re doing it, but did you know that by keeping fit you can also reduce your chance of illness in later life as well?
