directors update

May was a busy and rewarding month for our team, with plenty happening both locally and across the wider Harcourts network.

One of the highlights was attending the Northern Region End of Year Awards, where we celebrated some fantastic achievements and had the opportunity to catch up with colleagues from across the region. I was incredibly honoured to receive the Harcourts Foundation Inspiration Award for the entire Northern Region, recognising community involvement and fundraising efforts throughout the year. It was a proud moment for both myself and our team, and a reminder of the difference we can make when we work together to support our local community.

Shortly afterwards, several of our team headed to Christchurch for the annual Harcourts Conference. It was an inspiring few days filled with ideas, learning, and plenty of motivation that we're excited to bring back to benefit our clients and community.

Our Property Management team continues to go from strength to strength. We were particularly proud to achieve 100% of tenant payments received on time across our managed portfolio. That's a great result and a reflection of the strong relationships our team has built with both landlords and tenants. We also currently have a number of rental properties available, so if you or someone you know is looking for a new place to call home, we'd love to hear from you.

If you've ever considered a career in real estate, our next online Careers Evening will be held on 22 June. It's a relaxed and informative session where you can learn more about the industry, meet some of our team, and ask any questions you may have about a career with Harcourts.

As always, thank you for your continued support. We appreciate the trust you place in our team and look forward to helping more local families with their property goals in the months ahead.

Property is our business, people are our priority. If you're thinking of buying, selling, renting, or investing, we'd love to hear from you.

Warm regards,

Nicky Horsbrough
Director

A special congratulations to Robin on reaching an outstanding 20 years with Harcourts, and to Nicky Horsbrough for receiving a Bronze Award for quarterly sales achievement, along with both the Quarterly and Annual Inspirational Awards for the Northern Region.

Congratulations also to Abegail on being recognised as one of our newer team members as she continues her real estate journey, and to Nicholas Muffi for achieving a perfect 10/10 client rating for the quarter.

Trusted by New Zealand. Proud to serve our community.

We're delighted to share that Harcourts has once again been recognised as New Zealand's Most Trusted Real Estate Brand in the 2026 Reader's Digest Trusted Brands Awards.

While this is a national achievement, it's the trust we build right here in our local community that means the most. Every conversation, every property journey, and every relationship is built on a commitment to putting people first.

We're proud to be part of this community and look forward to continuing to help local people achieve their property goals for many years to come.

Making the Difference in Our Community

Do you know someone who goes above and beyond to help others? Each month, Nicky Horsbrough's Making the Difference initiative recognises local people who make our community a better place through their kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand.

This month's recipient, Dennis Powell, was nominated for his ongoing support of fellow residents and his selfless acts of kindness.

If you know someone who deserves to be recognised, nominate them today. Not only will they receive the appreciation they deserve, but they'll also receive a $100 voucher to a local business of their choice. Let's celebrate the people who make a difference every day.
