Big news is brewing in the Queensland real estate space-and if you're a savvy investor (which, of course you are), you'll want to stay ahead of the curve.

From 1 August 2025, the Seller's Disclosure Statement kicks in. This means vendors will be legally required to provide buyers with a formal disclosure statement before a residential property contract is signed. Think of it as a "pre-nup for property"-spelling out all the essential facts upfront to avoid nasty surprises later.

What Must Be Disclosed?
# Title search details
# Registered plan of the property
# Zoning and planning info
# Services connected (water, electricity, sewerage)
# Any registered encumbrances (like easements or covenants)
# Heritage listings, environmental matters, and more.

These documents will need to be accurate, up-to-date, and presented in a specific format approved by the Queensland Government.
