Carnegie Stages

The normal embryo (baby) grows and develops throughout the early weeks of pregnancy.

Notice how the baby becomes larger but also how it changes from a grub like appearance to one that is recognisable as a baby by 11 weeks.

Changes that can be seen are the development of the head and eyes, and of the limbs.
