A woman has a DCDA twin pregnancy and presents at 19+3 weeks for an ultrasound scan. The sonographer determines which is Twin 1 and Twin 2 and performs fetal measurement of the abdominal circumference (AC) on each twin, as shown in the ultrasound images, Fig 1 and Fig 2.

The measurements are as follows:

The sonographer plots both measurements on the growth chart (Fig 3). Both measurements are within the normal range and match the expected dates for this pregnancy.

Hence, there are no concerns about the sizes of these fetuses.
